Meeting called to order 7:00 PM

Discussed Outreaches:

Tom Bagg-  Visited several elementary schools to build and launch rockets and give presentations

Wood Acres Space Night-  Several NARHAMSters attended to build puff rockets and talk and display rockets.

Rockville Science Day-  Several NARHAMSters attended to build and launch rockets.  Breezy day for a launch, but no rockets lost.  Less than usual attendance overall. Discussion about limiting the # of free rockets per family/group.

April meeting minutes read. MOTION to accept the minutes as read, Alan Williams, Mike Cochran; Motion passed, none opposed.  

Old Business:

Goddard-  Goddard is open for business and the next launch will be June 5th.  DJ has checked batteries.  Jef Fineran to recheck and evaluate the rest of the system.  Alex Mankevich to have Christopher Kidwell  change the website  calendar to show Goddard launches.

Rocket Run-  Advertising seems to be working.  Discussed logistics of how to set up launch and who does what.

Secretary-  NARHAMS needs a new secretary.  No nominations proferred.

Calendar events-  Discussed and picked more themes and volunteers for the rest of the year.

MOTION, by Sarah Jackson, Jef Fineran, to accept treasurer’s report as stated.  None opposed, motion passed.

New Business:

Storage Renewal-  We usually pay a full year of storage starting in June.  However, we are not sure when we will be leaving Old National Pike Park.  Ed Jackson to inquire  about a month to month  price.

Bradley Grant Donation-  Bradley Grant is exiting the model rocketry hobby.  He  will be donating his  remaining items at ECRM, with the intention that this material is used for outreach or a “fly it, take it” type model

Night Launch equipment-  We need new red  LED lights.  Ed Jackson to research prices and make a proposal/motion for the next meeting.

Niceties-  Be mindful of appearances during outreaches and at launches.  No yelling, arguing, or physical contact.  Be mindful of appearances.
