Quorum established. Search for open treasurer position: Maria Ha is stepping down as treasurer. Floor was opened for nominations to replace Maria. Edward Jackson nominated and voted in with none opposed. Outreach activities: Reviewed outreach activities- Rockville Science Day Reviewed April meeting minutes: The April 2017 meeting minutes were read. Correction to note that the FAA waivers were requested, but not actually renewed at that time. Motion by Jen Ash, seconded by John McCoy to accept the April meeting minutes. None opposed, motion passed. Reviewed Calendar: May 6- Monthly meeting May 13 -TARC Finals May 20- Sport Launch Jun 3- Monthly meeting Jun 4- Goddard public launch Jun 17 - 18- ECRM-44 Regional Meet Events: 1/2A SD, B ELA (altimeter), OSL, RDD, CM, 1/2A RG Old Business: Goddard Recovery Pole- Alex Mankevich received Tom Bagg's permission to repair pole. Timeline is after June Goddard launch. System 2- John McCoy fixed rod holders. Goddard Range Hats- Ed Pearson ordered 24 hats at the Goddard Gift shop. Will need to reimburse gift shop. Ed Pearson to be responsible for maintenance and disbersement of hats. ECRM 2017- Jen Ash and Jim Filler in charge of logistics. Be at storage by 7 AM to help set up for ECRM contest. Jim needs money for trophies for ECRM and Apollo Contests. Costs already included in yearly budget, so no motion or vote needed. 2017 Goddard Apollo launch- Jim Filler needs to purchase items (paint, water, etc) for Apollo Contest. Jen Ash to contact DJ to send out reminder to previous participants. None opposed, motion passed. New Business: Mt Airy Perimeter Rope- Motion by Maria Ha, seconded by Alan Williams, to pay John McCoy $24 to purchase 600 ft reel of yellow rope. Motion passed, none opposed. Frederick County Library Build Session- June 10, 9:00 AM, volunteers welcome New Flight Cards- John McCoy created new flight cards. Mt Airy launch angles- Jim Miers suggests aiming closer to the soccer fields to avoid flying over launch viewing area.
