Tom also asked to revisit the policy of keeping the launch system with Alec. The policy was enacted in an effort to keep the equipment assigned to certain geographic locations. Maria Ha paid storage unit fees through end of December. Suggestion to pay for a full year once we have confirmed dates for Mt. Airy launches. This will get us one month free, saving $50. Motion to approve executive committee decision to allocate $150 for purchasing a new PA system for system 1 (Alan Williams/Jennifer Ash-Poole) passed. Jennifer is doing building sessions (Nov 13 and 21) and launches (Nov 15 and 22) in Columbia. Jennifer discussed holding a charity rocket event to honor Mario Acuna. She is in contact with his family and colleagues. Ed suggested holiding a special tour of Goddard, separately from any fundraising event. Motion to allocate $20 for Ed's holiday punch (Jef Fineran/Jennifer Ash-Poole) passed. Jim Filler will contact Scott Branche to see about getting a gift card for the raffle. Jim Filler notes that the "Launch Site" sign at Mt. Airy has been moved. Jim sent a photo to the park authorities, and found they were not aware of the move. Suggestion is to document any other possible damages. Jennifer would like to have a club table for the Ag Center launches. Previously we have been using her personal table. Motion to purchase a 4-foot table, cost not to exceed $50 (Ed Pearson/Alec Waterhouse) passed. Maria Ha suggested moving the launch decision cutoff from noon Friday to 5 pm Friday.
