Ed Pearson reported back on the response from the Bowie administration to our request for
a launch at Jerhico Park. They cited existing regulations prohibiting model rocketry, and
denied our request.

Ed Pearson reported that Tom Bagg suggested a launch field at Capital College. Ed says the
field is rather small, but may be suitable to an S8 contest.

New Business

USA Science and Engineering Festival on The Mall on October 23-24. Need 7 volunteers each day from
9:30 am to 5 pm to assist with building sessions and staff the booth.

Jim Filler is hoping to move in November, and will no longer need the storage unit in Mt. Airy.
This raises issues with storage and support for launches going forward. Need to have a launch
manager each month, or the launch will get cancelled.

Motion to adjourn (Kevin Johnson/Ed Pearson) passed.
Meeting closed at 8:49 pm.
