The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Jim Filler.
The minutes from the September meeting were read and accepted by acclamation.
Jim Filler reported that the night launch went well, with good participation from the club. We will try to hold 2 night launches next year, one of which will be in September.
The AIAA demo launch was last weekend with nice weather and 83 flights.
Paul Miller received the new stop watches and requested reimbursement for the additional $6.30 over what was originally allocated. Thom Bagg made the motion, Jennifer Ash-Poole seconded, and it passed without opposition.
Don Brown reported that jackets can be done by the same company that did our hats. The jackets will be dark blue nylon shell with a lightweight cotton lining, 2 pockets, and a snap front closure. There will be a 12" NARHAMS logo on the back, and 2" (maybe 3") on the front. Style can be either straight ($40), or with elastic sleeves and bottom ($45). Don will bring samples to the sport launch and begin taking orders.
Alan Williams did the Goddard Community Day launch on September 23 with the help of Jim Miers and Bob Booker. Bob flew a lot of mid-power models, and Alan actually flew an Enerjet Nike Ram.
Development of a club membership card has been discussed previously for getting discounts at Hobby Works in Rockville. John McCoy will do a design.
John McCoy got a new batch of 100 microclips. Jennifer Ash-Poole moved to reimburse John $26.97. Alan Holmes seconded the motion, which passed without opposition.
Don Brown is investigating a possible field that is used by R/C airplane flyers near Springfield State Hospital in Sykesville.

Tom Bagg will be doing a demo for 4th graders at West Town Elementary School in Catonsville on November 6, noon - 3 pm. There will be a short discussion of model rockets, followed by building Alpha III's for 40 students, and then launch.
Alan Williams will be doing a teaching session at Goddard on October 19 at 11 am in Building 8. There will be a model rocket presentation, Dave O'Bryan will discuss competition rocketry, followed by a tour.
MATTHEW-4 is scheduled for October 14. Range crew is asked to arrive at 9 am for setup so that we can start flying by 10 am.
NOVAAR is hosting VACUUM-25 on October 21 at their new launch site at an elementary school 15 miles west of Manassas. We will not be attending as a club.
Khim Bittle reported that his wife Beth recently ran into Mark Poling. His father had been sick, but Mark will be back into rockets soon.
Khim Bittle also talked with a representative from the Frederick Parks Dept about the new parks. Tuscarora Park is 270 acres off of Route 15 and won't be developed for several years. National Pike Park is 800+ acres, with groundbreaking next year to start a 3-year building plan.
Paul Miller inquired as to the status of a fall regional hosted by PSC. Their plans for a large regional didn't go through, but they will have a one-day regional on October 15. Rod Schaefer says they plan to have a spring regional in April, May, or June, but it hasn't been finalized yet.
Robert Edmonds has new Ivee-2G kits available, as well as Delties. He will also have them at the building session.
